Cette semaine est la Semaine de la coop\u00e9ration, une occasion de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l'impact que le secteur coop\u00e9ratif a eu sur les communaut\u00e9s \u00e0 travers le Canada, et de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux valeurs et principes coop\u00e9ratifs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alors, qu'est-ce qu'une coop\u00e9rative exactement ?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Les coop\u00e9ratives sont des entreprises centr\u00e9es sur les personnes qui sont d\u00e9tenues et contr\u00f4l\u00e9es par et pour leurs membres afin de r\u00e9aliser des objectifs \u00e9conomiques, sociaux et\/ou culturels communs. Les coop\u00e9ratives rassemblent les gens de mani\u00e8re d\u00e9mocratique et \u00e9quitable, selon le principe \"un membre, une voix\".\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En tant qu'organisation coop\u00e9rative nous-m\u00eames, et en tant qu'organisation qui soutient d'autres coop\u00e9ratives afin d'augmenter les investissements communautaires, nous croyons fermement aux avantages que les coop\u00e9ratives apportent \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Parce qu'elles ne sont pas d\u00e9tenues par des actionnaires, les coop\u00e9ratives sont un v\u00e9hicule qui permet aux gens de prendre le contr\u00f4le de leur avenir \u00e9conomique et de conserver les avantages \u00e9conomiques et sociaux au sein de leurs communaut\u00e9s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Plus largement, nous croyons en la coop\u00e9ration - coop\u00e9ration entre les membres de la communaut\u00e9, entre les organisations communautaires, entre les secteurs - pour cr\u00e9er un meilleur avenir. La coop\u00e9ration est au c\u0153ur de ce que nous faisons, et l'essence m\u00eame du financement communautaire. Nous savons que faire les choses ensemble donne de bien meilleurs r\u00e9sultats que lorsqu'on les fait seul.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour moi, la 'coop\u00e9ration dans le monde de demain' signifie que les communaut\u00e9s se r\u00e9unissent pour soutenir un objectif commun et investissent conjointement le capital n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de cette vision.\"<\/span><\/p>\n
