Event Details

Join us for a morning of exploring innovative solutions to financing. Hear first-hand stories of how social finance has helped others make big dreams and big impact a reality, and see if you can do it too.

This event is open to charities, non-profits, co-operatives and social enterprises that are interested in exploring social finance. We also encourage other players in the social finance ecosystem to participate.

The event will introduce a range of opportunities to fund both operational and capital expenditures. We will hear from organizations that have used these tools firsthand, as well as from organizations that can support groups to become investment ready.

Speakers will include:

Craig Ryan, Director of Social Entrepreneurship, BDC

Brian Coburn, Director of Finance, Ottawa Community Foundation

Kiran Pal-Pross, Project Coordinator, Paro Centre for Women’s Enterprise

Alfred Lee, Account Manager, Vancity Community Investment Bank

David Cork, Executive Director, Tapestry Community Capital

Katie Miller, Managing Director, Impact Hub Ottawa

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

This event has been made possible thanks to Bayview Yards, Invest Ottawa, Impact Hub Ottawa, the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE) Social Enterprise Partnership, Vancity Community Investment Bank and Tapestry Community Capital.
