Welcoming Ryan Angrove to the Tapestry team

By News

We’re excited to welcome Ryan to Tapestry as a Product Analyst.

Based in Montréal, Ryan holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Concordia University and brings experience at the intersection of policy, research, and product. His work focuses on translating complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Before joining Tapestry, Ryan contributed to urban policy research and housing equity initiatives at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montréal. His work explored how policies across different levels of government shape affordable housing outcomes in the city. Alongside his research background, Ryan gained hands-on experience with impact investing through the Propel Impact Professionals Program, volunteered with Apathy is Boring on youth civic engagement projects, and worked with Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. Across his experiences, a consistent thread has been making complex systems more understandable and usable for the people who rely on them

Tapestry had been on Ryan’s radar well before he applied. “I knew about Brique par Brique and the Kensington Market Community Land Trust before joining Tapestry, and I’m inspired by how Tapestry uses a systems-change approach to democratize the market,” Ryan says.

The opportunity to apply systems-level thinking in ways that lead to real community impact made Tapestry a natural next step for Ryan. He joins the team as part of the Propel Impact Analyst program.

Outside of work, Ryan is an avid cyclist who spends time at bike-coops and builds bikes piece by piece. He plays outdoor hockey, loves cooking with friends, and is always on the hunt for new music and live shows.

Thoughtful, curious, and impact-driven, Ryan brings a perspective that fits naturally with Tapestry’s work. We’re glad to have him on the team. Welcome, Ryan!

Meet Nick Yeo, Director of Client Services

By News

Nick’s path into the nonprofit world has been anything but linear. But it’s always been guided by a simple thread: working with people who want to leave the world better than they found it.

Nick spent his formative years in Vancouver, Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok. Experiencing so many different cultures and ways of life early on shaped how he sees the world and the communities he serves. Based in Toronto, Nick has spent more than two decades in the nonprofit sector, building expertise across fundraising, strategic planning, program design and evaluation, and more. As he puts it with a laugh, “you name it, I’ve done it.”

Before joining Tapestry, Nick led lending and training programs at Rise, supporting Canadians with mental health and addiction challenges seeking self-employment. He also worked with Futurpreneur Canada, helping young entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses. Earlier in his career, he ran operations for Toronto’s Reelworld Film Festival, a formative experience that first showed him the transformative power of nonprofits.

When Nick came across Tapestry, he was drawn to its innovative approach and role as a pioneer in the community finance movement. “What resonated with me was the opportunity to elevate the capacity of nonprofits and charities to innovatively raise funds,” Nick says. “Tapestry is on a fantastic growth journey, and I thought, ‘wouldn’t it be great to be part of that?’”

In his new role as Director of Client Services, Nick is motivated by the opportunity to level up client support. “I want to help streamline systems and introduce data-driven decision-making, all while keeping the human connection front and centre,” he explains.

Outside of work, Nick is a devoted parent to two children, passionate cook, and martial arts enthusiast. He serves as Board Chair of JAYU, an arts and human rights organization, and volunteers on his children’s school parent committee.

Nick’s life has been a tapestry in itself, spanning cities, cultures, and careers, all tied together by a belief in the power of community and impact. We’re excited to welcome Nick and can’t wait to see how he’ll help shape Tapestry’s next chapter.
